I feel like writing this I should be clearing the dusk and cobwebs off my page. It has been a very long time since I have been active here, and while I can account for this being a fairly busy adult it's still a bit delinquent on my part.

What have I been up to? Well since last time I was here I've taken up sewing and have been doing my best to stab my fingers more times I can count with pins. I've also been fruiously working on my book, and drawing when I have the time.

Today I will be spamming you all with new pictures that I haven't uploaded.

Here's to hoping I can keep up this account again.

Well now, I do like to come onto DA and find that my pictures are doing well-- but my goodness I will never get used to the praise and compliments. Since I can't say thank you to everyone who has noticed my work in the last 24 hours, I'll just say it here: Thank you. Really. You make this perpetually exhausted artist feel pretty damned good.

In other news I am feverishly putting together the first book of my still unnamed saga featuring my beloved characters many of you have come to know: Casper, Helen, and Hex. Now if I could just stop rewriting I might actually get somewhere.

Anyways I am off, time to go relax and maybe enjoy myself for a little while.

I'm sick. No really, beyond the mental aspect I have some kind of butt kicking cold that is knocking me over (or at least trying its best to see this happen). For those of you asking there will not be a new comic page this weekend. I may doodle up something for it, but I don't have the willpower to start plotting out the next couple pages.

In other news I've just about worked out the plot holes and characters for the story many of you have been following through my pictures for the last few years. That's right: Casper, Helen, and Hex will soon have a written story, along with a few new characters to help make a more three dimensional world. I did have random chapters almost done (I know, I know) but each time I became so bored just writing about two overly privileged lordlings and a badly scarred carpenter. This fleshing out has taken far longer than I first thought, but I promise you that it is worth the long wait. I also keep rewriting the prologue because I can't figure out how to convey the exact image I'm trying to set. I'm close though. Hopefully by the end of the month I will have this ready.

My scanner is still busted. Not that it's broken, just that it's so old Canon does not make a driver for Windows 8 compatibility.. and I've tried the other options. Looks like this Christmas I'll be getting myself a scanner.

Also, I have this bizarre obsession this week going from bad b-movies like Mega Piranha to wanting to do a Miyazaki marathon. This is totally normal, right?

At long last my behemoth of a scanner has met it's end. While it is not broken it is apparently unable to come up with drivers for windows eight.

I take this as a sign that my scanner is too old and needs to be retired.

Of course this only came to pass literally days after a photoshop action to correct it's inability to scan colors properly was made... which will now have to be done with my new scanner.

Way to be, scanner. Way. To. Be.
